Type of Building: Office Building
Floor Area: 9,000m²
The office buildings, surveyed recently, comprise of six interconnected buildings dating from between 1971 and 1990. The offices are mainly open plan with a small share of the floor area used for meeting rooms and individual offices. The buildings also house a restaurant with kitchen and computer rooms.
Cost Saving:
If all of the measures identified are implemented the client would save £80,000 per annum or 15% of their annual energy bills.
CO2 Saving:
The recommendations made would save 472 tonnes of CO2 every year – the equivalent of around 4,200 return flights from the UK to France!
Case Study Two
Type of Building: Office Building
Floor Area: 4,400m²
The office buildings, surveyed recently, comprising one office block over 6 floors. The offices are mainly open plan with a small share of the floor area used for meeting rooms and individual offices.
Cost Saving:
If all of the measures identified are implemented the client would save £30,000 per annum.
CO2 Saving:
The recommendations made would save 154 tonnes of CO2 every year.
